Q. Is Camp Discovery available for rental by groups or organizations?
Yes. Camp Discovery is available for rent during the following times-April-May-August-November. During the months of June and July our camp is in session. During the months of December-March, the camp is closed down. Paul Ottinger at the Tennessee Jaycee State Headquarters is in charge of Camp Discovery Rentals. If you are interested in renting the camp for a family, church or business related event, please contact him to set up dates.

The following are the rates for rental of Camp Discovery
$11.00 per person per night (No charge for baby cribs) $250.00 per weekend fee for usage of Dining Hall when coupled with cabin rentals. $500.00 per day or weekend fee for usage of Dining Hall only. $100.00 cleaning deposit - refundable if clean-up is satisfactory to caretaker.If you have any questions about Camp rental, please contact Paul at the Tennessee Jaycees Headquarters 615-556-3887.

Q. Do I need to be with my child? May I accompany my child or adult charge?
Our counselors and Camp Director are taking every precaution so that campers will have a safe and happy experience at Camp Discovery. There is no need to accompany the camper during their stay.

Q. May I see the facility before I send my child/adult charge?
Yes, you can call Paul at the Tennessee Jaycees State Headquarters and set up a time to visit the camp when in is not in session or coordinate with the camp director when it is in session.

Q. What if extra care is needed for my child/adult charge, i.e., bathing, changing clothes, eating?
Several of the campers require this type of care and it is not a problem. This info is asked for on the application so they can make sure to have enough counselors that week.
